The Fat Plant Society moss panels and moss
frames are made from preserved Reindeer
Moss that grows in North Carolina,
Kentucky and Florida. Harvesting is done
by hand, with respect for the plant and its
surroundings. A specific cutting technique
ensures the perfect renewing of the plant. The
vegetal preservation is completed without the
addition of any toxic or dangerous chemicals.
We understand that your job as an architect or designer is to provide your clients with specific detail and pricing for their project.
You can tell your clients that you have done your research and The Fat Plant Society moss is durable (in comparison to other plant materials), affordable in comparison to other types of green walls (priced at roughly 1/3 the cost of a living plant wall), maintenance free , and sustainable (harvested responsibly, does not require any water or misting)
Moss retains its air cleaning properties (cleans the air of volatile organic compounds aka VOCs much like a sponge) and is cold cracking and heat aging resistant (as a natural material, it is inherently resistant).
We turn requests for bids around quickly and work with our partners to provide the best pricing on any other components like acrylic logos and lettering.
